StyleMama – Nicole Sedmak – Push Yourself & Achieve

This week’s StyleMama has the grace and physique of a ballet dancer, but the strength of three marines. Nicole Sedmak is a world-ranked kickboxer, who is drawn to extreme sports. Her advice to moms trying to get themselves in shape is to make every minute of your workout count and push yourself past the point of comfort. “I just turned 40 and I’m not going to let the numbers scare me down. It’s mind over matter and when you push yourself to do things that you never thought possible, you make the greatest strides in personal growth and personal empowerment.”

How does she look so darn good?
Nicole was a competitive kickboxer for 8 years and went to the world championships 4 times and placed 2nd in 2002 and 2006. It was during that time that she started doing CATZ, a boot-camp type cross-training program for pro, college, and elite athletes.  More recently, she has ran three marathons and just competed in Tough Mudder (a “spirit crushing” event originally designed for British Special Forces), which she vows she will never participate in again!

What’s she wearing?

Pants: Diesel
Shoes: Chloe

Her Style:
“My style is California casual. I wear a lot of workout clothes and shop at lululemon almost exclusively. Otherwise, you’ll find me in jeans with boots. “ – Nicole Sedmak
