This week’s StyleMama believes the best way for working moms to get over the guilt of being away from their children is to focus on building good memories together. Megan Rolland says it’s easy to get caught in the trap of always feeling guilty whether you are with your children or fully immersed at work. Instead, she tries to plan outings with her child that they can experience together. “I pick activities that I know my daughter will enjoy like boogie boarding or hitting the local ice-cream joint. I try to make our time together about building lasting memories – quality not quantity.”

How does she look so damn good?
Megan, who has lived in Hawaii since childhood, has fully embraced the Hawaiian lifestyle of spending a lot of time outdoors and eating healthy. She says she eats a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and thanks to her fiance and his family, who love to fish, she has a steady supply of fresh seafood. She also spends a lot of time in the ocean and pool with her daughter, and enjoys outrigger canoeing and yoga.
What’s she wearing?

“In Hawaii everyones keeps it pretty casual, including business professionals. I tend to go for a clean, simple, and tailored look. Even growing up, my friends and I never spent a lot of time with make-up and curling irons as the heat and humidity make it impractical.” – Megan Rolland
