Gabriela and I were partners in crime during my time in New York City. She was ready and willing for anything. We’ve spent Saturday afternoons eating cheap Indian food in the East Village or dancing the night away at private parties hosted by the likes of J.Lo.
What I love about Gabriela is that her wardrobe was also ready for anything. She could be wearing a power suit and dress it down for a gig in the Lower East Side or be in a casual pair of jeans and accessorize it for a VIP Event. Anything could happen in New York and Gabriela was sure never to miss an opportunity of a lifetime!
Home: Vancouver, Canada
Children: Expecting in May
Occupation: Gabriela is the Founder of Fundamentals Consulting. She launched the Vancouver company 4 years ago after returning from a 10 year stint abroad. Fundamentals specializes in fundraising for local BC non-profits and matching them with individual and corporate philanthropists. Knowing Gabriela personally, this brings together two of her best assets: her ability to connect people and giving back to the community.
How does she look so darn good? Gabriela stays active walking her dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Golden Retriever, every morning along the beach. That’s a lot of dog to walk! She also manages to fit in yoga, pilates, surfing coupled with lots of sleep and water. Vancouver is also a great biking city, which Gabi takes advantage of during the summer months. She also thanks her acupuncturist for her overall wellness.
What’s she wearing?
Coat: Vintage Sonia Rykiel
Fur Vest: Vintage
Skirt: Pea in the Pod maternity
Boots: Bottega Veneta
Bag: Boutique store in Buenos Aires
“I go back and forth between feminine bohemian and a clean architectural look. I tend to shy away from trends. I get all my inspiration and shop mostly when I travel (I’m a gypsy at heart) and my most treasured items are good vintage finds. Some of my favourite designers are Thakoon, Martin Margiela, Argentinian designer Trosman and a local Vancouver designer Mandula (she uses only organic cotton and silks).” – Gabriela von Pfetten
