This week’s StyleMama knows the importance of investing in and choosing a good sofa for your living room. Stacia Vinar is surrounded by high-end furnishings all day at work. She believes that your sofa is not just the centerpiece of a great living room, but also a reflection of you…whether it’s your primary room for entertaining or a place for your family to gather. She says, “I always tell my clients that the sofa is the most important piece of furniture in the room, it’s the one that is most used and it becomes the anchor of the room. Everything else is built around it so it should be a high quality piece that you LOVE. You can save money on the coffee table and accessories, but always get the best sofa you can. ”
Home: Venice Beach, CA
Children: 1 boy, 4 years-old
Occupation: Stacia is the co-owner of Sala Interiors, which sells high-end previously-owned contemporary furniture. She started her own business after seeing a market opportunity to re-sell luxury furnishings. Stacia also thought owning her own company would give her more time to raise her son, since she’s a single-parent. However, she still ends up working long hours but has the flexibility to work at home or when her son is asleep. She’s also very grateful to have a business partner, who is very understanding about her parenting demands and will pick up the ball when she can’t be available.
How does she look so damn good?
Aside from hitting the open road on her Razor Scooter with her son, Stacia maintains a healthy California regime of eating lots of fruits and vegetables, staying away from sugar and processed foods, and walking wherever she can.
What’s she wearing?
Watch: Vintage Rolex – Submariner 1985
“My look is casual chic. I like the unpredictable, which could mean pairing a funky Marni necklace with something conservative. I own a million pairs of boots, skirts, jeans, and vintage clothes.” – Stacia Vinar
