This week’s StyleMama, Jennifer Lau, has just launched a jewelry line and believes there are a few simple tips that you should consider when purchasing fine jewelry. Jennifer says classic pieces can be worn everyday and will last you a lifetime. “Fine jewelry should be considered an investment. You’ll have it forever and it can change your entire look. Also, think about pairing your new pieces with existing pieces. Layering jewelry and mixing it up a bit will help you create your own individual style. I advise my clients to invest in classic pieces, but also ones that make a statement as well.”

Jennifer launched her jewelry line several months ago and is already receiving industry accolades and a growing clientele. What’s she wearing:
Blouse- Helmut Lang- “My favorite go to designer for a great top and at a great price point!”
Jeans- coated J Brand “Once I find a jean designer that fits, I don’t try any new ones. I live in JBrands and AG”
Heels- Christian Louboutin with platforms built in “It changed my life in heels!”
Genevieve Lau Jewelry – “I’m so lucky that I can change up my pieces every day, but still always have my favorites that never come off”
Bracelet – 1 cartier Love “My husband gave me the bracelet many years ago.”
How does she looks so darn good?
Jennifer was a runner most of her life (She ran the NYC marathon 3 years ago and was a former track star), but she was starting to feel the effects of running on her body. So, she switched to walking last spring and has never looked back. She covers about 30 miles a week and can’t wait to get out the door. Aside from never having to drag herself to a gym, she enjoys the social aspect of walking with friends and the time to think and be creative.
Healthy eating is also part of her routine. Her favorite go-to-meal is salad with lots of toppings.
“My style is pretty with an edge. I like feminine and flattering clothes with a tiny bit of edge that shows I still have it. I always like to take a bit of chance whether it’s with my jewelry or clothes.” – Jennifer Lau
