RM Dinner Club – Pizza with Passion

*I love a good pizza. I’m not talking about the greasy pizza that you find on most street corners. I’m talking about pizza that melts in your mouth and makes you wish it will never end. Here are a few favorite gourmet pizza recipes.

Pizza Dough III from AllRecipe.com – RebelMom Pick!

I’ve been buying my pizza dough from the grocery story lately, but this recipe is so easy that there is really no excuse to make it at home. Make sure to check out the review from Toasty Mama on how to improve on this recipe. I’ve also used half whole wheat, which works nicely. If you are looking for a recipe that uses all whole wheat, try Wolfgang Puck’s honey touched whole wheat dough.

Fig and Prosciutto Pizza from Chef Todd English

I generally skip the prosciutto and just use fig and gorgonzola. It’s a great pizza to make with a big salad for your girlfriends or use it as an app during the holiday season.

Wild Mushroom Pizza with Caramelized Onions, Fontina, and Rosemarys

I made a recipe similar to this and the only painful part was caramelizing the onions, which took longer than expected.

Tandoori Chicken Pizza from California Pizza Kitchen

The tomato curry sauce used in this recipe is delicious. I tend to use one of my mom’s masalas or use a ready-made tandoori marinade. This is a great recipe to make with left-over tandoori chicken. It’s a little too time-consuming if you have to make the chicken from scratch.

RebelMom’s Killer Combinations

  • Pesto, asiago, & shrimp
  • Marinara sauce, mozzarella, pecorino romano, thin strips of red onion, pineapple, & pepperoni
  • homemade guacamole made with a bit of yoghurt as a base and topped with a homemade tomato salsa and mozzarella
