RM Dinner Club: Low-cal Menu Ideas

As the days become cooler, I can already feel myself drawn to carb heavy meals. With fewer fruits and veggies available, the calorie counter can add up quickly. However, here are a few low-cal menu ideas that have easy to find ingredients (regardless of the season) and lots of flavor.

Cilantro Lime Shrimp from Skinnytaste.com
Thanks Jessica Santos for turning me onto this site. Skinnytaste.com has Weight Watcher points for all its recipes.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast from AllRecipe.com
The recipe consists of turkey breast and onion soup mix – not terribly exciting. But don’t turn up your nose just yet as 759 people have given it an almost perfect review and 57,000 people have saved it.

Fish Tagine with Tomato, Capers, & Cinnamon from Epicurious.com
Some reviewers have added meyer lemon slices and raisins – yumm! I think any good white fish would work. Try using a bit of tomato paste and apricots, which my mom-in-law adds in one of her popular Tangine recipes.

Chicken and White Bean Salad from Eatingwell.com
This is a delicious and easy to make recipe.
