RM Music Feature – “Voyageur” by Kathleen Edwards

Although it won’t be released until January 17th, Kathleen Edwards fourth album “Voyageur” is one to preview, and then pre-order!  The Canadian-born singer/songwriter has developed a sound that seems to be part Florence & the Machine and part Bon Iver (whose headman, Justin Vernon, produced the album) with a little country mixed in.  It’s not an album to miss!

“Voyageur” by Kathleen Edwards

Voyageur traverses Edwards’ love of her homeland and its place in her personal relationships. In all, this is an album that we’ll still be listening to come next December.”  - Tony Hardy, Consequence of Sound

Watch Kathleen Edwards discuss Voyageur, and hear Bon Iver’s take on it!

“Writing openly about the break-up of her marriage and longing for a sense of home, Voyageur’s concise and intimate songs convey a universal sentiment that is not easily shaken.” – David McGinty, The Skinny
