Laurie Forster is one of the country’s leading wine experts whose mission is to demystify wine one glass at a time. The queen of wine edu-tainment, she is also the author of the award-winning book, The Sipping Point and a regular guest on radio shows across the country, including Martha Stewart Radio.
A businesswoman, a busy mother of an eight-year-old daughter, and wife of a chef who travels the world, she is constantly juggling it all and is never afraid to laugh at herself. The opposite of a wine snob, Laurie grew up in New Jersey drinking wine coolers and beer. It wasn’t until she moved to New York and became successful in software sales that she turned her attention to wine after hosting far too many client dinners where she was faced with phone book-sized wine lists.
She began her wine career in Manhattan where she studied with the American Sommelier Association. Laurie has since earned an Advanced Certificate with Merit from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and has trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley.
