K.D. Lang & The Siss Boom Bang
“This warm, fluid collection of jazz and country-flecked songs brims with confidence. … Lang presides effortlessly here and if she rarely pushes her voice to full throttle, it’s as much of a joy to hear her purr along smoothly.” – Ally Carnwath for The Observer
I saw K.D. Lang in the 80′s open for the Beach Boys in Edmonton, Canada. She was booed off the stage. Flash forward to 2000 and she was part of a star-studded cast of singers and entertainers, who performed at an Al Gore fundraising event at Radio City Music Hall. She was now in the company of Sheryl Crowe, Bon Jovi, & Bette Midler.
I have always been a fan of Ms. Lang. Her voice is truly beautiful and she doesn’t give a hoot what you think about her political views or sexual orientation. She is frank and true to herself, which gives weight to her velvety voice.Disclosure: RebelMom.com has an affiliate relationship with iTunes & Amazon, which means that purchasing music or books via the links helps support RebelMom.com.
